Avatars are the small image to the left of your posts and as I have noted in the Forum Feature section our forum will allow Avatars of up to 1oo width x 100 height in pixels... if the image you want is larger than that please resize it before using it at our forum.
To use an image at my forum you first need to "host" it. This means you need to find a free image host.ex. www.photobucket.com
You have a few choices here... if you think that you will only be adding an avatar to the forum but no other images then you can use the free host uploader that is already in the modify profile section (you can find this section by clicking the "Profile" button in the menu at the top of the forum).
You just browse your computer for the image you want and click "host it" I haven't used it... but it should bring you to another page that will have your image and a bunch of URL codes next to it. Choose the one that says direct link or something like that... it should look just like a web address (http://....... etc.)
Copy and Paste that URL into the "Avatar URL" field in your modify profile section then put 100 in both the height and width sections (it doesn't matter what size the actually image is just put 100) then when you are done modifying your profile just click the "modify profile" button at the very bottom of the page.
NOTE: if you plan on posting screenshots or other images on the site at some point I would suggest getting a free hosting account with IMAGE CAVE the link for it is in the announcement board at the top of the forum. All you need is a valid e-mail address and you can sign up for a free account. Then you can easily upload and organize many many images and it will be much easier for you to post them
